Exploring the Depths of Faith

Dan's Writing Journey
Dan Phillips is a faith-based author, entrepreneur, and former educator whose life journey has uniquely shaped his voice as a storyteller. Born in Van Nuys, California, he later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. He began his career teaching before transitioning into the hospitality industry, where he spent over 30 years building and leading multiple technology-focused companies.
Throughout his professional life, Dan consistently wrote—developing business plans, articles, and faith-based works—but it wasn’t until 2023 that he stepped fully into his calling as an author. After retiring from the corporate world, he committed to writing full-time, using storytelling as a way to share the message of faith and the transformative power of God.
Dan’s writing is deeply influenced by his personal walk with God, including overcoming challenges, growing in faith, and experiencing God’s faithfulness throughout every season of life. He has a unique gift for turning spiritual insights, sermons, and everyday moments into compelling stories that resonate with readers on a personal level.
He is the author of So I Will Recognize His Voice, a collection of short, faith-inspired stories designed to spark reflection and conversation, as well as the Ruah series, beginning with Ruah: Following His Footsteps. His books are written for a wide audience—from those exploring faith for the first time to seasoned believers—inviting readers to encounter God in unexpected and meaningful ways.
Dan writes with the belief that stories have the power to impact hearts, challenge perspectives, and draw people closer to truth. Through his work, he aims to fulfill the Great Commission by sharing the message of God’s love in a way that is relatable, engaging, and lasting.
